VIVIAN ELLER,M.S.,CCC-SLP

Speech and Language Therapist,

serving families in South and East Bay

My name is Vivian and I am a California licensed speech-language pathologist who helps young children discover the joy of communication—whether that means using words, gestures, AAC, or scripts from their favorite songs and shows. I am a bilingual Thai-English speaker.

I believe every child communicates with purpose, and it’s my privilege to help families understand and celebrate the many ways their child connects with the world.

I want families to walk away from therapy not just with new skills, but with a deeper sense of confidence, connection, and joy in their child’s communication journey.

VIVIAN'S BACKGROUND

Speech, Language, Social Communication

I earned my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, East Bay,

and have experience supporting children across home, hospital, private clinic, and school settings.

My clinical expertise includes:

  • Late Talker (Early Intervention)

  • Receptive-Expressive language delay

  • Pragmatic language and Autism support

  • Gestalt language processing (GLP)

  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)

  • Articulation and phonological processing delays

  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

  • Caregiver and teacher education

I’m committed to using evidence-based practices alongside real-life strategies that fit each family’s routines, values, and goals.

VIVIAN'S CNF APPROACH

• C = Child-Led

• N = Neurodiversity-Affirming

• F  = Family-Centered Approach

I don’t “fix” communication—I support growth by meeting each child where they are, following their interests, and creating meaningful opportunities to connect.

In our sessions, you might see:

  • Joyful play and child-led exploration

  • Focus on functional skills rather than compliance

  • Modeling of natural, functional communication

  • Gentle guidance for caregivers to use strategies at home

  • Respect for all forms of communication: spoken words, AAC, gestures, echolalia, and movement

VIVIAN'S CONTINUING EDUCATION

I believe learning never really stops, especially when it comes to supporting children. I regularly take part in trainings, workshops, and conferences to stay up to date and to better support each child in ways that feel respectful, meaningful, and strengths-based. Below are a few trainings that reflect the approach I use in my work.

  • 2022 DIRFloortime®: Beyond Playing on the Floor

  • 2023 Frontal Lisp, Lateral Lisp - Pam Marshalla

  • 2024 Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) - AAC Learning Journey

  • 2024 Diagnosis and Treatment of CAS Using Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) - Dr. Edythe A. Strand.

Culturally Responsive and Inclusive Practice

Every family’s language, culture, and values are respected and reflected in therapy. I work closely with caregivers to make sure goals feel meaningful, relevant, and aligned with your home life.

Communication grows best in environments where a child feels understood and valued for exactly who they are.
